St. Elizabeth Preschool focuses on Kindergarten readiness skills, literacy, math, faith formation, science, social and emotional development and basic essentials like healthy habits, safety habits, etc. in a caring  and nurturing environment.   The Preschoolers learn through large and fine motor activities as well as purposeful play. Our 4 Year Preschool uses the Letter People Curriculum for Reading/ Literacy Readiness skills and Stories of God’s Love for the Religion Curriculum.  All of our 4 year Preschool students began attending weekly art classes this year with Mrs. Rodaitis.  The children had a wonderful experience with Mrs. Rodaitis in her classroom!

Did you know that we offer a variety of options for our 4 year preschool program?

Our 4 year preschool children have the choice of attending 3 days a week or 5 days a week, as well as the choice of half day or full day preschool.  We have completed our pilot year for 5 full day Preschool!  It has been a successful year!  Six children took part in our 5 full day program.  The children became a close knit group, helping each other whenever needed.  In their extra time at school, the children enjoyed enrichment activities focusing on letter & sound recognition, number recognition and counting practice, science experiments, and art activities.  Our 4 year program is growing quickly!  At this point for the 2017-18 school year, we have now filled our 4 year class and have started a waiting list for registrations!!

The 3 year old preschool program runs on Tuesday and Thursday from 9-11 am.  The 3 year preschoolers begin learning about the basics:  letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and of course, the Love of God & Jesus.  Each month, we focus on a few letters & numbers, a shape and color, with activities revolving around these concepts as well as seasonal activities.  Our 3 year old and 4 year old students share time together in the classroom for snack and playtime.

cloud3Our Mission and Beliefs

The mission of Saint Elizabeth Elementary School, which has a strong tradition of Catholicism and academic excellence, is to empower all students to be lifelong learners living in close relationship with God. We inspire our students by focusing on high academic standards in a loving, caring, and secure environment. We recognize and encourage the development of the gifts, talents, and uniqueness of each person within our school community of faith.

We believe that:

* our primary purpose is to communicate the Gospel message of Jesus Christ as a vital part of the teaching ministry of the Catholic Church.
* our school community works to ensure an environment that encourages Christ-like living and responsible stewardship of all God’s creation.
* our school utilizes a curriculum determined by national, state, and diocesan standards and is implemented by a staff of highly qualified teachers; education is the shared responsibility of the school and home.
* the goal of education is to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills that will ultimately create lifelong learners and responsible citizens.
* every individual, as a child of God, has a moral responsibility to actively serve others as Jesus did.
* serving others will create respectful and responsible citizens of the global and digital community.
