Miscellaneous Information:

Mrs. Susan Lydon received her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood & Elementary Education from Carlow University in 1998. She began teaching at St. Elizabeth Elementary School in 1999, teaching in Kindergarten until June of 2011. In 2012, Mrs. Lydon began teaching half day Preschool for both 3-year-old & 4-year-old Preschool classes. During the 2015-2016 school year, she piloted the full day Preschool Program for the 4-year-old Preschool class, which was held three days a week. This program was so successful, the school extended the full day program to five full days in 2016. Our Preschool program continues to grow and thrive! “From the time I was in first grade at St. Albert the Great School in Baldwin, I knew that I always wanted to be a teacher. I had many wonderful teachers that influenced me along the way, one of which was my Aunt Marie. I always enjoyed going with her into her classroom to help at any time that I could. I love being a Preschool Teacher at St. Elizabeth Elementary School! It is a blessing to have the opportunity to help our youngest of students develop a love for learning, Kindergarten Readiness skills, and a love for and relationship with God.”

Mrs. Lydon has an amazing family! Her husband, Kevin, is so patient and supportive of her and all that she does! The Lydons have 5 children: Michael, Sean, Joshua, Matthew, & Rachel, all of whom have attended St. Elizabeth. Michael and Sean are now students at West Mifflin High School. “This school is such a huge part of our lives! It is our home away from home! We have been so blessed to be a part of the St. Elizabeth School family!”

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.” Psalm 28:7
